2. PRIVATE GUIDED TOUR OF CAPE TOWN CITY & TABLE MOUNTAIN

HALF-DAY TOUR: This tour of Cape Town city is about vistas and scenery, so bring your camera! The very best sights of South Africa's Mother City, The tour starts with a visit to Cape Town's most dominant feature, Table Mountain for the best view of Cape Town and surrounds. Then a descent into the heart of Cape Town before finsihing up on a beach across the bay to get that definitive Table Mountain and city of Cape Town photo.

TABLE MOUNTAIN: One of the iconic natural wonders of the world and forming a giant backdrop to the city. You can get to the top via a revolving cableway or a 2 hour hike for some of the best vistas in Africa. Table mountain also plays host to the world's most unique and varied plant species called Fynbos and as a result of this floral wonder Table Mountain is part of a World Heritage Site.

CAPE TOWN was the only African city to be named in the top five, beating Sydney, New York, Venice and Paris – not to mention famed attractions like India’s Taj Mahal, Egypt’s Pyramids and Australia’s Ayers Rock. There is nowhere quite like Cape Town. It is in Africa, and of Africa, but yet so different. Perched between the ocean and the mountain, and with a national park as its heart, it's wild and wonderful. But it's also the oldest city in South Africa, and it has a cultural heritage spanning more than 300 years. It is in Cape Town that the Rainbow Nation really covers the spectrum, as nowhere else in Africa do we have such cultural diversity. Between beautiful Cape Dutch homesteads, elegant Georgian townhouses, traditional dancers with painted faces performing in the city streets, the smell of spicy Malay cooking, the tang of a well-made wine, and the sound of the snoek horn advertising the wares of fish vendors, Cape town will fill your senses to the brim.

Cape Town Half Day Tour Includes:

  • Table Mountain (weather permitting, otherwise Signal Hill)
  • Cape Town city tour passing the Houses of Parliament, the Cape Castle and the grand City Hall
  • The colourful Cape Malay quarter of BoKaap
  • Blaauwberg Beach, Cape Town
  • Collection at your hotel at approximately 14h00 and return approximately 17h30

3. PRIVATE GUIDED TOUR OF THE CAPE PENINSULA TOUR

Unarguably the most popular day tour around Cape Town. The Cape Peninsula tour takes you on a journey around the Cape Peninsula that Sir Francis Drake declared "the fairest Cape in the entire circumference of the Globe". At its zenith the tour reaches the famous plunging cliffs of the Cape of Good Hope and Cape Point where the clash of two mighty ocean currents occur. The Cape Peninsula Tour also encompasses Chapman's Peak, Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens and a visit to the African Penguin Colony at Boulders Beach.

CHAPMANS PEAK: Unarguably the most scenic drive in South Africa, Chapman's Peak drive is carved into the sheer cliffs between the seaside villages of Hout Bay and Noordhoek. The view from the road both above and below is simply spectacular.

THE CAPE OF GOOD HOPE: At the very tip of the Cape peninsula where plunging cliffs cleave a divide between two mighty ocean currents, is the Cape of Good Hope & Cape Point. So named by ancient mariners as the point where the interminable coastline of Africa ends and to provide a gateway to the east. The edge of the earth is the tip of a pristine fynbos-clad nature reserve where one can watch whales in the sea below.

BOULDERS BEACH: Among the rocky coves and hidden beachlets south of Simon's Town is Boulders beach. Not only an ideal outdoor family venue but home to a colony of African Penguins who against all scientific statements decided to set up home and mingle amongst the residents of Simon's Town.

KIRSTENBOSCH BOTANICAL GARDENS: The custodian of our floral world heritage, Kirstenbosch is a magical natural seeting nestled in the foothills of Table Mountain.

Cape Peninsula Tour Includes:

  • Visits to Cape Town's sea-side suburbs of the "Republic" of Hout Bay and Simon's Town
  • Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve and the Cape of Good Hope & Cape Point
  • Stop at the African Penguin colony at Boulders Beach
  • Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens

Collection at your Hotel approximately 08h45 and back approximately 17h30

4. PRIVATE GUIDED TOUR OF THE WINE ESTATES

This is a CAPE tour that oozes with breathtaking beauty of the mountainous Eden of the Cape. Vast mountains and valleys draped in vineyards dotted here and there with magnificent wine estates. This region is a hub of the Cape's cultural history and is also the gastronomic centre of South Africa. One does not have to taste wine in order to appreciate the beauty of the Cape wine lands.

Wine from the "Dark Continent"? To many European and American wine drinkers, this is a strange concept. But it is down south of Africa in the Cape, where climactic and topographic conditions simulate those of the old wine countries, that the continent's finest wines are produced. Today the best of South African wine is up there with the rest, while in the "easy-drinking" category no one beats us.History has a way with wine and the Cape's wine culture, which goes back 350 years, also shines with the potential and expectation of the modern wine world. From that long history comes a wine tradition of tastes and styles with its roots in the classic "Old World" of France, Germany and Italy, but also an acute awareness of the contemporary consumer, as has been defined by wine-making in the "New World" of California and Australia. It has often been said that South African wine is in the unique position of straddling both those wonderful worlds. It offers marketing possibilities that can be harnessed for the challenges of the new global economy. It can offer the wine-drinking world all kinds of new flavour experiences. It can also show the way to handle such sensitive issues as labour relations in the reality of the beautiful Cape wine lands.

The Cape Wine lands Tour is the most popular tour of the three already very popular day tours out of Cape Town. Departing Cape Town city at around 9am the tour heads for the majestic mountain range to the north-east of Cape Town and the famous wine producing valleys of Franschhoek and Stellenbosch.  The day comprises of a variety of wine tastings at various wine estates and interesting historical explanations on the regions and the French Huguenots who arrived in the land in 1688 to produce some of the world's finest nectar. The dramatic and breath-taking mountain scenery compliments a superb lunch in the gastronomic and wine capital of South Africa - Franschhoek. The tour arrives back in Cape Town in the face of the city's spectacular sunsets.
